No progress in discussions – FUTA

The discussion held yesterday (1st) with authorities of Higher Education ended without any progress states the Federation of University Teachers’ Associations (FUTA).
Speaking to the media the spokesman for FUTA Dr. Maheem Mendis said the discussion was regarding training given to university students in military camps and matters regarding circulars that affect university teachers.
However, there was no progress in the discussion and only a promise was made to fulfill agreements said Dr. Mendis and added that authorities continue to make promises that are never fulfilled.
