Chemistry Graduate-ship programme to commence in January

The four-year Graduate-ship Programme of the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon which produces over 40 per cent of the Special Degree Level Chemists, will launch its next programme in January.

The Institute will take in the 34th batch of students for the new programme on January 7th 2012. Professor Roshan Perera, who is a graduate Chemist of the Institute and is presently Assistant Professor in Chemistry at the University of Texas in Arlington, will be the chief guest at the Inauguration ceremony.

Professor J. N. Oleap Fernando, Honorary Rector of the College of Chemical Sciences, which administers the programme, states in a media release that registration of students is now in the final stages.

Further information can be obtained by attending orientation sessions that will be conducted every Saturday at 10.15 am at the College Headquarters at Adamantine House, 341/22, Kotte Road, Welikada, Rajagiriya or calling over on any day or by downloading from web site www.ichemc.edu.lk.
